Carved from Rain Wood (Vaagai), light enough to mount easily on a wall while still holding fine detail in the ears and tusks.
Hand-painted in a traditional multi-colour palette using durable paints suited to indoor wooden decor; a natural varnished version without paint can also be made.
Carving, undercoating and multiple hand-painted layers with drying time between each bring this piece to about 4 weeks.
The finished head with a rear wall-mounting fixture and protective packing for transit.
Dust with a soft dry brush or cloth; avoid wiping painted areas with a wet cloth as it may dull the colour over time.
