About This Sculpture
A traditional horse-and-rider corbel with dense figure carving, made to project from a wall or beam. Based on the load-bearing wooden brackets seen in old Tamil Nadu temple mandapams, carved here as a decorative wall piece.

Solid Teak Wood is used for its strength and stability, important for a bracket-style piece that projects outward from the wall.
Varnished Matt Natural finish, hand-rubbed in several coats to bring out the depth of the carving without a glossy shine.
This is one of our more labour-intensive pieces — the deep undercutting around the horse and rider takes about 6 weeks to complete and finish.

Dust regularly with a dry cloth; check the wall fixing periodically if it is load-bearing or holding additional weight.
